Container for Bulk Candle from the "Spīdala" Collection

In 2023, while collaborating with lighting artist Oskars Pauliņš, video artist Toms Zeļģis, actors Inga Misāne-Grasberga and Gundars Grasbergs, and the technical company "Full Stage" to create what was, to date, Latvia's most impressive light performance "Lāčplēsis" at the Likteņdārzs, my story with concrete candles began—initially in partnership with candle artisan Elīna Muceniece. The emotions from this monumental production and the events surrounding it still resonate deeply within me, so it is only natural that one of my candle collections is dedicated to "Lāčplēsis." Among all the epic's characters, Spīdala strikes me as the most intriguing. Mysterious, witch-like, dark and light simultaneously, noticeable and capable of transformation—my interpretation of Spīdala now continues to live on in this fiery collection of concrete containers.

The base of the container is designed with sufficient thickness to ensure that it does not overheat during the burning of the bulk candle, thereby preventing damage to the surface on which it is placed. If you remain concerned that the container might harm the surface, you can purchase candle coasters with a heat-resistant oak veneer coating from the "Candle Coasters" section. To refill the container with bulk candle material, acquire palm wax granules in a 1000-gram (approximately 2.2-pound) package from the "Bulk Candles" section. This package allows you to refill the container three times. It includes two types of wicks and instructions for candle creation. Of course, after the candle has burned out, you may also insert any pre-made candle that fits inside the container or repurpose it for other household uses. The concrete container is not suitable for storing open food items.
